PRIVATE AND PARTNERSHIP LESSONS

With a BRIDGE FORUM teacher of your choice, you can take individual and/or lessons with your regular partner(s). During such lessons, typically weekly, you start with a free 1.5 hour assessment to ensure the ‘fit’ is right for you and the teacher, and to further define your learning agenda. Such lessons range from those for virtual novices right through to advanced players. Indeed our teachers not only cater to English, Spanish and Italian speaking students, but there are those teachers whose expertise range from novice through solid advanced players’ needs.

These sessions will include lesson notes geared to the established learning agenda, which can of course change as your work evolves. While we recommend you use email to forward any/all questions so as not to take up valuable online time, we do start lessons with a review of the lesson notes at a ‘private/hidden’ table so as to ensure the right environment. Then we play non competitive mode-- if available on the site of your choice-- versus an appropriate pair. Your teacher gives on the spot feedback as well as sending more detailed analysis of hands played after sessions. Lesson notes sent will focus on either the agenda you have established or issues arising from the two hour session.

If you determine to take lessons with a regular partner, this is ideal as so much of bridge is dependent on partnership agreements. Here you and partner can ‘iron out’ your ranges for Michaels, Unusual Notrump and so many other commonly used conventions and bids, plus add a variety of ‘gadgets’ depending on your level of play.

BRIDGE FORUM teachers charge different rates depending on their level of expertise and importantly, their experience as a teacher. Therefore, while we try to accommodate all, it is up to the teacher(s) to set fees and negotiate if need be. As well you are free to make your own arrangements for online tournaments with your teacher.
